Tamil Tigers Moved Money through Five Canadian Banks, Say Canadian Police

A Toronto-based non-profit group raised money in Canada and moved the funds through five separate Canadian banks to fund terrorists in Sri Lanka, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police said in a report made public Monday. The World Tamil Movement (WTM) funneled 3.1 million Canadian dollars ($USD 2.9 million) through the accounts to the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Elam, according to the February 1 report unsealed Monday by a Canadian court.
