Putin Nominee as Russia’s Prime Minister a Crusader Against Money Laundering, Analyst Says

Russian President Vladimir Putin named his country's top anti-money laundering regulator as prime minister Wednesday, a move that many interpreted to be a nod for a presidential successor. Viktor Zubkov, the head of Russia's financial intelligence unit, the Federal Financial Monitoring Service, was nominated to replace Mikhail Fradkov, who announced his resignation hours before the nomination.
