MSB Group to Lobby Lawmakers for Federal Licensing

One of the country's top lobbying groups for money services businesses will ask lawmakers in February to streamline how the companies obtain licenses to operate in the United States. Great Neck, NY-based National Money Transmitters Association (NMTA) will present draft language to congressional offices in the hopes that lawmakers will allow the businesses, known as MSBs, to obtain a single, federally-approved license in lieu of multiple state licenses, according to David Landsman, the group's executive director.
