Immigration Bill Would Expand Government Power to Deport Money Launderers

A comprehensive immigration bill that moved forward in the U.S. Senate Tuesday would expand government authority to deport foreign-born individuals or deny them entry into the country if they are accused of money laundering. The bill, which has been the subject of weeks of Congressional wrangling, would allow law enforcement agencies to deport groups of five or more persons involved in money laundering or other criminal offenses.
