Discontent with FinCEN’s Direction Centered in Legal Office

A decision by the U.S. Treasury to reshape the nation's financial intelligence unit has spurred serious concerns about the direction of the agency. Findings of a 2013 survey by the U.S. Office of Personnel Management of employees of the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network, or FinCEN, reflect a rocky first full year for the bureau under the directorship of Jennifer Shasky Calvery, a former federal prosecutor appointed to the position in August 2012.
