U.S. Treasury is Expeditiously Removing More Entities from SDN List, Says Szubin

The U.S. Treasury Department has accelerated efforts to remove qualified individuals and entities from its list of Specially Designated Nationals, according to the list's chief administrator. "We have a very robust delisting process, and I don't mean we're just receiving the petitions and reading them, I mean there are dozens, in fact hundreds, of persons coming off our lists every year," said Adam Szubin, director of the department's Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC). OFAC has removed 1500 entities from the list in the last three years, and expects to remove at least 600 individuals and companies from the list...
