Saudi Terror Supporters Turning to Cash Couriers, Multilateral Charities: GAO

Saudi terrorist financiers are increasingly relying on cash couriers to circumvent the country's anti-money laundering and counter terrorism financing laws, according to a report by a U.S. governmental watchdog. While Saudi Arabia has cracked down on terrorist financing through formal banking channels in recent years, terror supporters still have avenues to fund organizations outside of the country, at times through couriers, according to a 62-page report issued Tuesday by the U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO).
